TWIMERICKS

Twimericks are a tongue twister and a limerick all mixed together. Take a look inside the book.
Twimericks are written as a poem and they are very funny and difficult to pronounce. They often contain onomatopeias, hyperboles, puns and other figurative devices.
It doesn't matter if you don't understand the Twimericks, just appreciate its rhythm, the places where pauses are made and the way the beats flow.
Listen to these children trying to say some of them.

Difficult, eh? Now try it yourself. Read a twimerick or two as fast as you can!

PEACE DAY

School Day of Non-violence and Peace is celebrated on January 30 every year, on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi. Its message is: "Universal Love, Non-violence and Peace, Universal Love is better than egoism, Non-violence is better than violence, and Peace is better than war"
There are lots of songs about peace but "Imagine" by John Lennon is one of my favourites. Listen to one the most beautiful songs ever created by one of the world´s great musician and peace activist. This song has stood the test of time and it´s an anthem for peace.
Let´s sing it all together on Thursday and on Friday in class. Here is the video with the lyrics ("Imagine" & "Love")
